The Hub is a communal space in the Macquarie Uni campus that is under-utilised by students. It is occupied with food retail stores, a gym, travel agency and a hair dressers. The problem Macquarie Uni had was that the current retailers were not receiving enough foot traffic throughout the area.
So we decided to create Hub Hour, a theme that would incentivise students for being at the Hub during lunch. Prizes, games and entertainment were planned and organised to help make the students time worthwhile.
The characters illustrated represented almost each retailer and became ambassadors around the campus to drive foot traffic in the Hub’s direction.
