Syxti is a digital canvas in which you can sketch on that disappears after 60 seconds. I came up with this idea when I understood the importance of a brief. Briefs create restraints and as a creative, restraints tend to help provide us with better ideas, concepts and designs.
I started with naming and branding the idea syxti, the logo represents a simple illustrative “doodle” and the name helps clarify the concept. From there, the ideas was to keep it simple and direct, this gave me the ability to design the screens as I developed the idea.
The intro screens clearly communicate the purpose and the usability of the app. It works on both iPhone and iPad. Once you click “start” a countdown timer begins, 3. 2. 1. and then you are introduced to your canvas where you can select from a pencil and a fine tip pen to help go over your sketch with some time remaining.
Once the 60 seconds are up, the canvas is saved directly to your image gallery and can not be edited or placed back into the app.
